Jeanette Norman is a legal assistant with Russo Law. She is a published author, teacher, and motivational speaker. She joined our firm after several years with Gannett Media and Lakeland’s local newspaper, The Ledger. During her time in advertising, she became a Google Partner and took the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) exam to obtain a certification for Google Analytics.
Jeanette wrote her book Lessons Inherited to share the story of her mother’s struggle with growing up in the Great Depression era while having medical issues. This journey and lessons learned from it was an encouragement and inspiration to Jeanette when her youngest son was born with multiple disabilities. Jeanette aspired to write something to help and inspire other families who are facing a medical crisis that there is hope and life beyond adversity. She is currently developing a series of children’s books for kids with unique abilities.
She is also a Special Education Advocate and Liaison for public schools. As an advocate for students with special needs, she has helped students and their families acquire and retain special education services. Advocates work on behalf of the student and his or her family to assist with understanding how the various support systems work and to help them get the services they need.
Jeanette lived off the grid with her husband and six children in the hills of New York for seven years, utilizing a wind turbine to generate renewable electricity for her family.
